
Scott Schneider
Managing Director
Scott is an aerospace lawyer and governance specialist. As Special Counsel and Director of Research at International Aerospace Law & Policy Group, Scott’s areas of expertise include approvals and liability for space activities, law reform and public international law.
In 2020 Scott led the team obtaining Australia’s first commercial launch and spaceport approvals. He has also contributed to several regulatory and policy developments for safe and competitive aerospace activities. He holds a Master of Laws in Air and Space Law and teaches law and economics to undergraduates, MBA students and professionals around the world.
Scott’s approach is to develop law and policy in the interests of business, innovation and community welfare, with a focus on applying law and economics to safeguard individual rights. In 2024 Scott established the Raker consortium, pooling international and interdisciplinary capabilities to support entrepreneurs and researchers operating in free markets. Scott also serves on the council of Live and Let Live, a global movement working for all law to protect everyone living in any peaceful way they choose.
